The West Dunbartonshire Open Space Strategy was prepared to inform West Dunbartonshire Council and other key stakeholder in making decisions in relation to the provision and improvement of open space within West Dunbartonshire (out-with the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park) over the ten year period from 2011 - 2021.
The Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005 requires that some plans, programmes and strategies produced by public bodies are subject to a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) being carried out. The West Dunbartonshire Open Space Strategy is deemed to require an SEA. The results of the SEA are contained within the Environmental Report.
The Environmental Report identifies and evaluates the likely significant effects of the Open Space Strategy on the environment and the reasonable alternatives which have been assessed.
The Post-Adoption Statement details how the comments received from the statutory authorities have been incorporated into the Strategy and Environmental Report.
