Breakfast clubs

Many of our schools provide breakfast clubs to allow children and young people to have a healthy breakfast at school.

All of our high schools and many of our primary schools hold breakfast clubs within the school. This service is subsidised by the authority and the cost to the child is £1.10 or 50p, depending on home earnings. The reduced cost of 50p also applies for additional siblings.

Primary schools

Primary schools provide a choice of:

• Toast & Low Fat Spread with fruit or
• Cereal & Fruit

Secondary schools

Secondary Schools have healthy vending machines so pupils can buy either:

• morning roll with low fat spreading cheese and fruit juice
• cereal and semi-skimmed milk.
