West Dunbartonshire Council’s Greenspace Service manages and maintains 84 children’s play parks.
Within our play parks in West Dunbartonshire we provide a wide range of stimulating and challenging play equipment for children and young people. Play equipment can offer shared experiences for those with different abilities and people can play together in well-designed play spaces.
Good spaces to play within a community are important. We strive to provide equity of access and provide inclusive play equipment in our play parks so that children and young people of all abilities can engage and enjoy. Thus providing a range of benefits for all including a sense of belonging, inclusion, fun and enjoyment and skill development.
If you are in the area why not come along and visit some of our parks and open spaces?
If you wish to report any issues regarding one of our play parks please contact the Council’s Greenspace Service detailing the nature of the enquiry and the location details.
We're reminding dog owners, excluding assistance dogs, to keep their pets out of children's play areas and off sports pitches.
Play parks across West Dunbartonshire are open and the Council would be grateful if visitors could continue to abide by the Scottish Government rules and regulations relating to COVID-19
Any families, children and young people using the play parks are reminded of the need to still practice physical distancing and when possible to use hand sanitiser before and after using any equipment.
It would also be preferable if anyone using the parks could wipe down any equipment, such as with baby wipes, before and after use.
